Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that a new constitution was top priority for his ruling AK Party after the elections, therefore asking two-thirds of majority in the parliament required to amend the constitution.

Prime Minister Erdogan suggested during his election rally in Izmir that AK Party has maintained consistent language across all 81 provinces and noted that his biggest new project is the new constitution.

Turkey's prime minister defined an article of a leading British magazine as "unfortunate", "inconsiderate" and "meaningful".
