President Erdoğan hosted a reception in honor of heads of state and government and their spouses
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife, Emine Erdoğan, hosted a dinner in honor of the leaders and their spouses attending the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government.
The dinner at the Presidential Complex was held behind closed doors. President Erdoğan and Emine Erdoğan welcomed the heads of state and government and their spouses on the steps of the Presidential Main Building.
The Erdoğan couple posed for individual photographs with the guests. The dinner commenced following the leaders' arrival at the Complex.
The welcoming ceremony featured flags and soldiers representing the 16 historical Turkic states, as well as soldiers dressed in Janissary uniforms. The Ministry of National Defence's Mehter Band played marches as the leaders arrived.
US President Donald Trump signaled his appreciation for the march played by the Mehter Band by making an "OK" gesture.
