President Erdoğan attends “A Tribute to Books: The Art of Bookbinding and Restoration Exhibition” event

 

Delivering a speech at the event, President Erdoğan said: “We all know perfectly well that those who don’t have a history will have no future. There is absolutely no future to build for those who are indifferent to and have no connection with their past, all the more so for those denying their history. As a nation, we possess a great civilization indeed, a deep-rooted history, and a rich cultural legacy. A unique heritage of knowledge, which originates from the works some of which are on display right here, lies behind our history, civilization and culture. This strong heritage, which has sustained us for centuries, finds its true meaning with books and libraries.”
