President Erdoğan spoke at our Party's Parliamentary Group Meeting

 

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s parliamentary group meeting.

“In every sphere, from domestic to foreign policy, the difference in vision and understanding between our party and alliance, and others is becoming increasingly clear,” President Erdoğan said. “We determinedly continue our journey to serve our nation with dignity, courtesy and democratic maturity. We continue on our path with a vision that sincerely embraces all citizens of this country, regardless of their political views or origins, and feels the responsibility for all 86 million of us.”

“Today, Türkiye has gained an unprecedented level of influence and prestige in its region and the world. Türkiye is one of the countries that best understands the changes occurring in the global system and manages this process most effectively by developing rational policies. We are aware of our potential as well as our capabilities.” President Erdoğan said.

“WITH OUR POLITICS CENTERED ON COMMON SENSE, PRUDENCE, AND FAIRNESS, WE KEPT TÜRKİYE AWAY FROM THE CIRCLE OF FIRE”

“We had the opportunity to witness once again the great capacity that Türkiye and Turkish foreign policy have reached during the recent Iran crisis. With our politics centered on common sense, prudence, and fairness, we kept our country away from this circle of fire. Despite various provocations, we did not allow even a single one of our people to be harmed. We did not succumb to Israel's games aimed at stirring up new conflicts in our region.” President Erdoğan said.

“One of the riskiest conflicts since the Second World War has been successfully managed thanks to the prudent policies of our party and alliance. Throughout this difficult period, all our institutions, especially our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and security bureaucracy, have made great efforts. We contributed to the negotiation process very carefully, sometimes through back-channel diplomacy, sometimes by taking a direct stance, and sometimes by intervening before disagreements further escalated. We are now in a process that needs to be handled with greater sensitivity. We know that Israel cannot tolerate even the slightest possibility of peace. Looking at the statements they have made in the last 10 days, it is clear that we are facing not a rational state, but rather a group of fanatical radicals. The situation is so dire that everyone is accusing each other of killing fewer people, of shedding less blood. Both the ruling party and the opposition are constantly escalating their genocidal tendencies. A frenzied mob, competing with each other in their fanaticism, never wants the guns to fall silent in our region. This network of murderers, which sees its national security in the instability of everyone outside itself, including its neighbors, and which has made terror and occupation a state policy, has been doing everything in its power for the last 10 days to undermine the agreement reached through the great efforts of all parties, and they will continue to engage in all kinds of malice until they achieve their goals.

“TÜRKİYE WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE ALL KINDS OF SUPPORT TO EFFORTS FOR A LASTING SOLUTION TO THE IRAN CRISIS”

“If peace will come to our region, it will come despite Israel. If there will be calm in our region, it will come despite Israel's provocations. No matter what the network of murderers does, they will not be able to prevent peace, justice, stability, and prosperity from prevailing in our region. As Türkiye, we will not hesitate to do whatever is necessary to seize even the smallest chance for peace. In the coming period, we will continue to provide all kinds of support to efforts for a lasting solution to the Iran crisis,” President Erdoğan said.

With regard to the terror-free Türkiye process, President Erdoğan said: “The terror-free Türkiye process has successfully passed serious tests of resistance over the past 22 years. The problem in northern Syria, one of the most significant obstacles to this process, has been largely resolved thanks to the inclusive approach of President al-Sharaa of Syria. Despite facing various challenges, the integration process is thankfully being successfully implemented. We are closely following the process and providing the necessary support.”

“Everyone must accept that terrorism is a dead end and has run its course. It is also the biggest obstacle to all kinds of progress, economic development, prosperity, and political and democratic advancements. As the shadow of terrorism recedes, we are seeing, and will continue to see, a spring bloom of progress in every field, from tourism and jobs to security and agriculture,” President Erdoğan said.

“Ideally, we would wish to quickly resolve and leave behind this 50-year-old problem. Unfortunately, the dynamics and geopolitics that our region is going through make it essential for us to manage many crises simultaneously and to be very sensitive,” President Erdoğan said.

“At this point, we are working on a legal framework that will accelerate the process of dismantling the organization. After concluding the necessary consultations, we will submit this regulation to the Parliament, the forum for resolving issues, without further delay. I believe we have more than enough capacity to resolve this matter without compromising the qualities of our state or the values ​​of our nation. With the support of our Parliament, we, as the People's Alliance, will inshallah complete this auspicious process and make a historic record that we will proudly remember,” President Erdoğan said.
