“Terror-free Türkiye process is the name of a strategic state vision regarding our country’s new century”
Speaking at the opening event of the National Security Conferences, President Erdoğan said: “Beyond being a security policy, the terror-free Türkiye process is the name of a strategic state vision regarding our country’s new century. Once the process is inshallah accomplished in line with our targets, it will not only strengthen our domestic front, but will also reinforce Türkiye’s security and lead to the opening of new doors before our nation.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech during the opening event of the National Security Conferences at the Presidential Complex.
“WE HAVE FORMED A SECURITY LINE ALONG TÜRKİYE’S SOUTHERN BORDERS WITH CROSS-BORDER OPERATIONS”
Stating that the Turkish nation has lived for centuries in a challenging geography with high strategic importance, President Erdoğan said that they have put up a multidimensional fight against all kinds of terrorist organizations on one hand, and have formed a security line along Türkiye’s southern borders with cross-border operations, and added: “The cross-border operation process, from the decision-making stage to the implementation stage, has assumed a role that reaffirms Türkiye’s independence. Thus, we have very clearly demonstrated that we will pay heed to nothing when our national security is at risk. Our Iraq and Syria operations have ushered in a new era in our security paradigm by shattering the glass ceiling placed on our country.”
“TERROR-FREE TÜRKİYE PROCESS WILL STRENGTHEN OUR DOMESTIC FRONT AND REINFORCE OUR COUNTRY’S SECURITY”
President Erdoğan said: “Türkiye is not a country that is given a role in the scenarios of others. It has shown everyone, friend or foe, that it writes its own story and shapes its own future, and that it has become a playmaker in its region. It is this very increased self-confidence, courage, planning and the capability of acting independently that lie behind both our ‘terror-free Türkiye’ process, which we manage through our own priorities and methods, and our determined steps extending from the Gulf region to the north of Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean. Once the process is inshallah accomplished in line with our targets, it will not only strengthen our domestic front, but will also reinforce Türkiye’s security and lead to the opening of new doors before our nation.”
“TÜRKİYE HAS NO CHANCE BUT TO BE STRONG”
Underscoring that security ranks first in the hierarchy of needs for the Turkish nation, President Erdoğan stressed that Türkiye has no chance but to be strong not just for its own perpetuity, but also for the peace and stability for its friends and brothers and sisters, and went on to say: “That is so, because we are a country that does not see our security different than the security of our region, and that wants its friends and brothers and sisters as well as ourselves to be at peace. Today, it is now a fact that the nature of threats, war techniques, operation of alliances and social risk areas rapidly change. In parallel with that, the nature and the coverage area of the notion of security change.”
“We as Türkiye not only closely follow this process, but also work to adapt ourselves to it in the fastest manner. We see technological feature developed by national and indigenous means as an inseparable part of our national security. Likewise, we attach great importance to data security,” President Erdoğan noted.
“WE HAVE ENDEAVORED TO CONSTANTLY DEVELOP OURSELVES”
Further stating that an engineer with a software they have developed, a data analyst with an assessment that have made, a cyber security specialist with a preventive activity they have carried out in the digital world, and a citizen with the resistance they have shown against manipulation and disinformation can become an efficient part of national security, President Erdoğan said that they have witnessed this both in the Russia-Ukraine war, and in the incidents that have taken place in the past three years in the region, and added: “We have followed all of them, and drawn the necessary lessons. Türkiye has been one of the countries that have analyzed war zones in the best manner, have first recognized the changing security paradigm, and that have prepared themselves to it. By combining our experience in anti-terror fight with the capabilities we have attained in cross-border operations, we have endeavored to constantly develop ourselves. We have minimized our foreign dependency by strengthening our defense industry. We have eliminated the risks by maximizing the coordination among our institutions.”
“By ridding our state of such groups as FETO that serve as a tool for the enemies of Türkiye, we have prevented infiltration and domestic sabotages. We have achieved a very sensitive balance between freedom and security through our democratic reforms,” President Erdoğan said.
