Addressing AK Party’s parliamentary group meeting, President Erdoğan said: “We determinedly and patiently advance towards our goal of a fully independent Türkiye in energy. Let me state with great pride that 23-year-long works, struggles and efforts lie behind the fact that our industrialists, manufacturers, farmers, tourism professionals and shippers have no concern today in access to energy despite the wars in our region.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s parliamentary group meeting.
“WE HAVE ELEVATED TÜRKİYE TO AN UPPER LEAGUE IN ENERGY”
Stating that they have realized visionary projects that will broaden Türkiye’s horizon in every area, from energy to defense industry, transportation to family and education to healthcare, President Erdoğan said that they determinedly and patiently advance towards their goal of a fully independent Türkiye in energy, and added: “Let me state with great pride that 23-year-long works, struggles and efforts lie behind the fact that our industrialists, manufacturers, farmers, tourism professionals and shippers have no concern today in access to energy despite the wars in our region. It has been our priority since day one to enhance our energy basket and increase the number of supplier countries. Also, we have elevated Türkiye to an upper league in energy with the new investments we have made in such fields as hydroelectricity, wind, geothermal, solar and nuclear.”

Reminding the ceremony held in Somalia for the arrival of the Çağrı Bey drilling ship to begin hydrocarbon explorations in the CURAD-1 well, President Erdoğan stressed that with a total depth of 7,500 meters, the CURAD-1 will be the world’s second deepest offshore drilling well, and noted: “Our navy’s Altan, Korkut and Sancar vessels will accompany the Çağrı Bey during its critical mission, which means that we now carry out the works, which we used to plead with someone to do, with our own vessels, own engineers and own manpower. As I always point out the progress we have made, Türkiye has come to this point in just 23 years despite preventions. In a short span of time, Türkiye has reached a level, where it makes history, and has become a source of pride for all the oppressed as well as of its own citizens.”

Drawing attention to the ambiguities in the global order, President Erdoğan underscored that the humanity’s longing for peace, stability, tranquility and safety is being undermined by circles that feed on blood and chaos, and went on to say: “The latest example of this is the unlawful war, which begun on February 28 and which has brought our region to the threshold of an abyss. The intervening period has revealed who wants war, who provokes it, and who benefits from it. The rightfulness of our assessment regarding the role of the Zionist lobby has been understood over time.”
“ISRAELI GOVERNMENT’S ATTACKS ON LEBANON HAVE DEALT THE FIRST BLOW TO PEACE HOPES”
“As you know, a 15-day-long ceasefire has been announced with the commendable efforts of our Pakistani brothers and sisters,” President Erdoğan said, and continued as follows: “However, the continuation of the Israeli government’s attacks on Lebanon have dealt the first blow to peace hopes. Unfortunately, the negotiations hosted by Pakistan have failed to yield the expected news, either. The statements of the parties indicate that although the table has not been flipped, an obstacle has been reached in the negotiation process, particularly about the nuclear matters. We also see that the tension has escalated in the Strait of Hormuz. We convey necessary suggestions and carry out necessary works in terms of the ease of the tension, expansion of the ceasefire and continuation of the talks.”
“ISRAEL WILL RESORT TO ALL AVENUES TO SABOTAGE THE SLIGHTEST HOPE FOR PEACE”
“All must understand that if there will be peace in our region, it will be despite the Zionist regime. If there will be stability in our region, it will be ensured despite the Israeli government that acts with the delirium of the promised lands. If tranquility will be ensured in our blood-soaked region, it will happen despite Israel, which attributes its security to the insecurity of others. That is so because, Israel will resort to all avenues to sabotage the slightest hope for peace, just as it has repeatedly done before. As the front of humanity seek to put out the fire in our region, the gang of massacre will add more fuel to it. While doing this, they will obviously continue to impudently target the countries, especially Türkiye and Spain, which raise their voices for peace. With their hitmen in media and their pawns they use as an apparatus, they will seek to silence all with conscience. But no matter what they do, they will not be able to silence brave hearts, or chain the hearts that defend justice and truths,” President Erdoğan noted.
“TÜRKİYE WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE VOICE OF THE INNOCENT CHILDREN OF GAZA”
Further stating that Türkiye will continue to be the voice of the innocent children of Gaza, and pay heed to the cries of Palestinian mothers, who are mourning for their children, President Erdoğan added: “We will continue to defend the rights of our brothers and sisters, whose lands have been occupied in the West Bank. We will continue to be the follower of the lawsuit of the children, who were massacred while sleeping in their beds in Lebanon. We will continue to slap the truths, which are sought to be concealed and covered up with threats and bullying, to the face of some circles.”
“I once again remind baby killers, who talk against myself and our country on social media, some facts. The Republic of Türkiye is not an ordinary state. No power can wag their finger at Türkiye or the President of Türkiye,” President Erdoğan stressed.
