“We work in order for our region to become a land of prosperity and safety”

 

Speaking at AK Party’s parliamentary group meeting, President Erdoğan said: “As the ancient residents of a region as old as the history of humanity, we work with good intention in order for our region, which has in recent years been associated with conflicts, infightings and, as is the case in Gaza, with atrocities, to once again become a land of prosperity and safety.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s parliamentary group meeting in Ankara.

“WE MEET WITH ALL ACTORS AND SHARE OUR OPINIONS”

Drawing attention to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece’s visit to Türkiye today, President Erdoğan noted that President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia will be in Ankara the following day, which he noted will be followed by his visits to the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia next week, and said: “Without any complex, we meet with all actors and share our opinions and offers with our counterparts completely in a spirit of brotherhood. As the ancient residents of a region as old as the history of humanity, we work with good intention in order for our region, which has in recent years been associated with conflicts, infightings and, as is the case in Gaza, with atrocities, to once again become a land of prosperity and safety.”

“It is our biggest hope that especially our neighbor Syria will swiftly find the stability, peace and tranquility it has been longing for for nearly 14 years,” President Erdoğan stated, and added: “It is our sincere wish that our Syrian brothers and sisters, who turn towards the same kiblah, will build their bright future shoulder to shoulder in unity and brotherhood. I am very pleased to see that Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan have the same sensitivities like us regarding Syria. We will inshallah act in coordination with these three countries for Syria’s tranquility.”

“IT IS NOW TIME TO USE SYRIA’S RESOURCES FOR THE PROSPERITY OF THE ENTIRE SYRIAN PEOPLE”

Underscoring that they attach importance to the implementation of January 18 and 30 agreements, President Erdoğan stressed that it is now time to use Syria’s underground and aboveground resources for the prosperity of the entire Syrian people, and went on to say: “We are the most immediate witnesses of President Ahmad Al-Sharaa of Syria’s sincere efforts for the rapid revival of his country. We see that both affection and big expectations arise towards and from the new administration in places saved from occupation after the latest operations. The regrown hopes will inshallah not turn into darkness. Türkiye will not allow it in the first place.”

“WE WILL NEVER LEAVE OUR SYRIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS ALONE”

“Türkiye is not in quest of influence or dominance in its region. It by no means has designs over other countries. On the contrary, we want brotherhood in a sincere manner. We say peace. We say that let us develop all together, let us build our common future all together,” President Erdoğan said.

Stating that they will never leave their Syrian brothers and sisters alone, President Erdoğan noted: “We have given our instructions during the recent operations. We have immediately mobilized AFAD, Kızılay and humanitarian relief organizations. At the first stage, we have sent two truckloads of humanitarian aid supplies to the residential areas, where our Kurdish brothers and sisters live, in cooperation with the Syrian government. As Türkiye, we, without any hesitation, have done in the best manner what falls to us and what our ties of brotherhood and neighborhood require.”
