President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s provincial heads meeting in Ankara.

President Erdoğan said: “We all are the servants of our august nation. We do politics for the peace and prosperity of the 86 million and for their prosperous and victorious future, not for ourselves or our own well-being. We put up this challenging struggle, to which we have dedicated our lives, for the oppressed and the downtrodden who have turned their faces and directions to our country with hope. We will inshallah work, endeavor and drop sweat with this aim and with all our strength until our last breath. We will never deviate from the course drawn by our nation. I hereby find it useful to point out this: May our nation rest assured! Our nation and our government are in charge of their agenda. We have been closely following the matter since day one. We as all our institutions and all our councils are doing what is necessary. We took important decisions yesterday at our Cabinet meeting, and today during our well-attended meeting. We have clarified the steps to be taken, and set our roadmap. We have formed a fully-authorized board under the chairmanship of our Vice President to coordinate the process regarding the funds decided to be liquidated. Besides, I have given instructions to the State Supervisory Council. We will inshallah finalize this process as soon as possible. I believe that Türkiye will come out of this issue clearing itself. Our economy will come out of this issue getting further stronger. Our capital markets will have a much healthier structure.”
