President Erdoğan spoke at our party's parliamentary group meeting
“We have intensified our preparations in order for the Ankara Summit to be a reference point in the history of NATO”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party’s parliamentary group meeting.
“THERE IS AN INTENSE INTEREST IN THE ANKARA SUMMIT ACROSS THE WORLD”
President Erdoğan said: “2026 will inshallah be a year when Türkiye’s international reputation and visibility will rise to the top. We attach great importance to the NATO Leaders’ Summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8. The recent announcement regarding U.S. President Trump’s participation in the Summit has been a valuable step in terms of the cohesion of the alliance. There is an intense interest in the Ankara Summit across the world, not just among the allies. We, for our part, have intensified our preparations in order for the Ankara Summit to be a reference point in the history of NATO.”
President Erdoğan stressed that Türkiye will also host the 77th International Astronautical Congress, the 13th Leaders’ Summit of the Organization of Turkic States and the COP31 in 2026.
“GENOCIDE AGAINST THE PALESTINIANS SYSTEMATICALLY”
Drawing attention to the crises and wars in the region, President Erdoğan stated that Israel has been serving as a threat to peace, prosperity and security in the region since its establishment, and went on to say: “The occupation in Palestine and the genocide against the Palestinians systematically continue. Let me underline that 73 thousand innocent people have been massacred in Gaza before the eyes of the entire world. This genocide still continues in terms of both its massacre aspect and inhumane isolation aspect. Israel, which has been carrying out the bloodiest genocide of the history of humanity, has simultaneously attacked Iran and what is more has started to invade Lebanon. Despite the reactions of the regional countries, particularly Türkiye, Israel rejects to withdraw from Lebanon and maintains its bloody operations there.”
“ISRAEL HAS BECOME A SOURCE OF THREAT TO HUMANITY”
Underscoring that Israel has been simultaneously engaged in an insidious effort to make African countries and the Mediterranean instable, President Erdoğan noted that the Zionist administration constantly produce unrest in a vast geography, and added: “Unfortunately, the world does not show the necessary reaction to Israel’s unlawful policies that recognizes no principles, values or boundaries. Getting spoilt more and more under the administration of the current government, Israel has become a source of threat to humanity, not just to the region. The attacks of Netanyahu and his gang of murder against Syria and Lebanon have come to a point where they not only pose a threat to these two brotherly countries, but also Türkiye.”
Pointing out that they will neither allow any faits accomplis in the countries of Türkiye’s brothers and sisters, nor turn a blind eye to the attacks against their brothers and sisters, President Erdoğan drew attention to the so-called threats targeting Türkiye, and said that they will never allow any of them.
“IF THE RIGHTS OF TÜRKİYE AND THE TURKISH CYPRIOTS ARE VIOLATED IN THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN, OUR RESPONSE WILL BE VERY CLEAR AND VERY FIERCE”
“We now see that a fire of fitnah is sought to be set in the Mediterranean, especially in the Cyprus island, and very closely follow the developments,” President Erdoğan stressed, and continued as follows: “I would like to clearly state that no one should chase any adventures. No one should follow the Zionist massacre gang. If the rights of Türkiye and the Turkish Cypriots are violated in the Eastern Mediterranean, I want it to be known that our response will be very clear and very fierce.”
“ISRAEL’S AGGRESSIVE ATTITUDE POSES A THREAT TO HUMANITY”
Further noting that Israel’s aggressive attitude poses a threat to humanity, not just to the region, President Erdoğan said that the genocides of Netanyahu, the butcher of Gaza, and his cabinet are watched in a great silence and indifference, as was the case concerning Hitler, and added: “No one should forget that if the fire grows bigger, it will not only burn the region, but its sparks will fall to the entire world. Just as the entire world is paying the price of the deadlock in the Hormuz today, if Israel’s banditry is not prevented, it will be the entire humanity along with the region that will pay the price as well.”
“Israel must be stopped. This is the duty of humanity and the front of humanity. History should not be allowed to repeat itself. Despite Israel’s all the sabotages, Türkiye will continue to do its utmost to restore peace and tranquility in its region. We will join forces with our neighbors, our friends, our brothers and sisters, and with the countries that have faith in peace, and will patiently continue to knock on all the doors and explore all the diplomatic avenues in order to end the bloodshed and tears,” President Erdoğan said.
