President Erdoğan: We are entering a normalization period which will significantly eliminate the negative effects of the pandemic
President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the party’s group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT).
Noting that Turkey would enter a new period in its fight against the pandemic, President Erdoğan said: “Following our last cabinet meeting, we shared with our nation the framework of our decisions regarding measures against the pandemic, which would come into effect as of July 1. Then, the Ministry of Interior issued a circular on their implementation. Inshallah, we are entering a normalization period which will significantly eliminate the negative effects of the pandemic on our social and economic life as well as our health.”
“WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO COMPLY WITH MEASURES IN THE NEW PERIOD”
“The developments in the world indicate that the pandemic continues by leading to unforeseen consequences. It is our responsibility to be ready for every scenario in all areas from healthcare services to food supply, from production to public security. Every wise and conscientious person acknowledges that Turkey is an exemplary country in this regard. I hope the new period, which will begin tomorrow, will bring about auspicious results for our country and nation. I ask our citizens to continue to comply with the measures in the new period,” President Erdoğan said.
“WE AIM TO COMPLETE CANAL ISTANBUL IN 6 YEARS”
Noting that the Canal Istanbul project was announced 11 years ago and discussed ever since, President Erdoğan said: “Our goal is to complete this project and bring it into service in 6 years. We believe we will crown the works and services we introduced in the past 19 years with this world-class project.
