According to a statement shared on the social media account of the Presidency of Communications, the leaders discussed the ceasefire and the security situation in the region.
During the call, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye had made intensive efforts together with relevant countries in the process leading to the ceasefire.
Erdoğan emphasized that the upcoming negotiations in the coming days should be utilized to the fullest extent for achieving lasting peace and stability, that it is crucial not to allow those who seek to undermine the process any opportunity, and that Türkiye is ready to provide all kinds of support in cooperation with friendly countries in the new phase as well.
President Erdoğan also reiterated his condolences and sorrow for the losses suffered by the brotherly people of Iran, and stated that Türkiye’s goal is to establish a new climate of common sense and dialogue in the region.
